Stragglers Junior Cricket Sponsored by Stanbic Bank

In a few weeks’ time, young cricket hopefuls will be convening at St Georges and Hartman House as the Stragglers Junior Cricket week storms to life. Stragglers Cricket week was started more than 60 years ago by Spencer Parker, a local architect, and it has grown in leaps and bounds, producing some of the country’s finest cricket players along the way. Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe is the main sponsor of the event which is organized by Stragglers Cricket Club.

Stanbic empowers girls in rural communities

In perpetuation of the bank’s sanitary wear drive, Stanbic has delivered on their promise to empower young girls based in rural communities. After raising over two thousand packets of reusable and disposable sanitary napkins through a campaign started by the bank’s female employees and supported by the bank’s corporate social investment efforts, the ladies have embarked on a distribution phase.

Stanbic has digitised school fees payments

As the cash situation in the country remains constrained, Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe continues to innovate around digitizing all their transactions. School fees season has inspired the bank to add 60 more schools to the already existing 69 schools on their mobile banking platform, an initiative which has been running since September 2017.
